Issuu enables you to embed uploaded publications on your website. It's ideal if you're looking to offer your publications to your regular visitors in the comfort of your own website.
Once your publication has been uploaded, open it and click the Embed button, or select the publication in My Publications and click 'Embed'.
Style your publication and select the preferred size.
Save the styling
Copy the Embed code and paste it to your website or blog.
Publish your website and you're done.
After having embedded your publication, you can change the styling directly on Issuu. You can create as many different styles for each document as you wish and you can easily change each of these by clicking ‘update style’.
Remember to click ‘update style’ when you do changes, as changes will have no effect until saved. Except for size changes there is no need to replace the embed code on your website - the style is automatically updated.
Styles are currently not available within the Mobile Reader.
In addition to the simple code, we also provide a code using an iframe to embed the content. As a general rule, this should be used if you are not using the code on your own custom built html site. Below are examples on how to use the code on various sites. Usage of the code however is not limited to these sites. Try it out and contact us if you’re experiencing any problems!
If you run a Tumblr-hosted blog, check the box above the code to get the code for Tumblr, Wordpress or similar. When you are done styling, save it, copy the code and go to your Tumblr page. Click the Text button on your dashboard, click the “html” button and paste the code. Click “create post”, and your Issuu publication is now available on Tumblr.
Note, that you currently cannot preview the embed, nor can you see it in your dashboard. However, it works beautifully on your blog.
Also note that if you still haven’t confirmed your email with your Tumblr account, the embed might not work.
If you run a Wordpress-hosted blog, check the box under the code to get the code for Tumblr, Wordpress or the like. When you are done styling, copy that code and go to your Wordpress edit page. There, use the html option, paste the code directly into the page, and save. Your Issuu publication is now available on Wordpress.
Note that when previewing the post you might not be able to see the actual embed.
If you run a Blogger-hosted blog, check the box under the code to get the code for Tumblr, Wordpress or the like. When you are done styling, copy that code and go to your Blogger page. When creating a new post, use the HTML option from Blogger and paste the code. Then Publish it and you’re done!
When using the embed with Joomla, you need to remove the default blocking of iframes.

If you are a free user the sidebar showing More from author and Related publications is default both on Issuu.com and on embeds. You can however disable it for embeds (or just show your other publications) by upgrading to Issuu Paid Services.
