When you upload to Issuu you can choose to publish it as 'Unlisted'. It will exclude the document from Issuu.com (our search engine, community etc.). The link is only known to you, but accessible to anyone who knows it. So be careful if you share it publicly, as a search engine might discover it.

Unlisted publications is a great way to test how a publication looks before it goes viral, or if you want to create a private library for your eyes only.

You can always make a unlisted publication public, but you can't make a public publication unlisted (because the link has already been made public).

How to publish a 'unlisted' publication.

  1. When you upload a publication to Issuu select 'unlisted'.
  2. Once the publication is done converting it will appear in My Publications with a small padlock icon.

Please note: We do not currently offer options to password protect or charge for uploaded publications.
